Spring 2018 is going to a busy time at the Centre for Modern and Contemporary Writing. 

On May 3rd, we will join again with the AMT Research Group at WSA, this time to host Katherine Hayles for a talk on Cybersemiosis. Full details here

Entropics will host JR Carpenter (February 8th), Holly Pester (February 21st) and Maggie O’Sullivan (April 25th). For these events, we’ll be collaborating with the John Hansard Gallery, in their new home at Studio 144, and the AMT Research Group at WSA. 

Writers in Conversation will host Paul McVeigh (February 19th), PhD students in Creative Writing (Alice Stinetorf, Jenn Shaller, Kostas Kalstas and Al Hammond, March 5th) and Whit Stillman (April 30th). 

Ivana Hostavá will join us from Slovakia, and Iain Morrison joins us from Edinburgh as SO:Write writer in residence at the John Hansard Gallery

The ‘Fail Better’ Reading Group will meet for the second time on April 29th. 

Our annual Research Day took place on January 23rd.
